Exercises like jogging won’t exactly “build” your muscles on your stomach but they will help reduce the extra fat around there. Depending on how fit you are, you should go on daily or bi-daily jogs of around a mile. To build muscles, you should concentrate on anaerobic exercises such as sit-ups to help build muscles.

To start to see a real difference with sit-ups, you should be looking to do no more than 100 every day (more than that will often hurt your muscles).

If you stick to doing those two forms of exercise – jogging and sit-ups, you should see real improvements in a week or two. Remember, you should do them as often as you can (I.E every single day).

when being overweight is a problem

-In our looks-obsessed society, lots of people think that being overweight is an appearance issue. But being overweight is actually a medical concern because it can seriously affect a person's health.

-The health problems that stem from being overweight go way beyond the ones we usually hear about, like diabetes and heart disease. Being overweight can also affect a person's joints, breathing, sleep, mood, and energy levels. So being overweight can impact a person's entire quality of life.

- Defining Overweight

When people eat more calories than they burn off, their bodies store the extra calories as fat.

A couple of pounds of extra body fat are not a health risk for most people. But when people keep up a pattern of eating more calories than they burn, more and more fat builds up in their bodies.

Eventually, the body gets to a point where the amount of body fat can have a negative effect on a person's health. Doctors use the terms "overweight" or "obese" to describe when someone is at greatest risk of developing weight-related health problems.

As you've probably heard, more people are overweight today than ever before. Experts are calling this an "obesity epidemic." This health problem affects young people as well as adults — one third of all kids between the ages of 2 and 19 are overweight or obese. So younger people are now developing health problems that used to affect only adults, like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and type 2 diabetes.

-tips from BIANCA GONZALEZ

FIND WHAT WORKS FOR YOU

“Exercise is different for every person,” shares Bianca, so figure out what kind of regimen fits well with your lifestyle and personality. You might prefer high impact routines like running and boxing, or low impact routines like yoga and Pilates.

MAKE TIME AND LEARN TO SACRIFICE

There’s no such thing as having no time to exercise. If you make it a priority, you will find the time! Bianca herself wakes up hours before she is scheduled to leave her house (regardless of how early) so that she can fit in a yoga class or jog around her subdivision.

MOTIVATE YOURSELF

Give yourself incentives for working out—this way, you’ll be inspired to work those buns and make your weight goal. Personally, Bianca motivates herself by “…[thinking] of how great the models of the Victoria Secret fashion show look. I tell my self, ‘Kung kaya nila, kaya ko rin!’”

MODERATION IS KEY

While a lot of women turn to crash diets and minuscule meals to shed the pounds, Bianca knows that solid, regular meals are important for keeping fit. “You need to eat for energy,” she explains.

EXERCISE WITH FRIENDS

Bianca confesses that she isn’t a gym person, so she prefers to take classes with friends. The buddy-system will work to your advantage in two ways: first, you’ll always have a reason to exercise (even if you don’t feel like it), and second, the whole process becomes way more enjoyable with a pal by your side!

- i want to start this on thursday, the belly dancing and badminton...and jogging...i hope taht marj will agree on thursday...
- before my birthday i need to loose weight....
